Lago Trasimeno and Laundry

Both suffering from a little winter cold, we decided to take today easy and didn't leave LaMaesta until 11am, this allowed for a sleep in and also restful morning.

Our first of two stops was Castiglione del Lago, which
is on the other side of Lago Trasimeno from where we took photos of the sunset last night.

Again I'm amazed by how these towns appear to have much more character in winter compared to our visits in past summers. The main difference is the tourists, we have not heard any English, American or Australian accents, but it appears there are more Italian tourists. Ths shopkeepers and workers in the shops appear less stressed too and more eager to have a chat.

We had lunch at 909 Cafe (Via Vittorio Emanuele, 26) which was opposite the Parish of S.Maria Maddalena enabling us to listen to the parishioners singing Christmas hymns inside, Christmas is still happening in Italy.

Still feeling the effects of our colds we walked around the walls of the castle, taking in the fresh Umbrian air.

It was then time for some normality, a little laundry, shopping at the supermarket and some drone time!

This evening we will be staying in and having a selection of cheese and cold meats and of course, a little Tuscan vino.

Buona Notte.
